Sound Specialists is proud to announce that we’ve been awarded Biggest Baddest Home by Crestron.
Biggest Baddest Home
This five-level Chicago home packs a punch. Featuring a fully automated Crestron system, the home includes control of 32 stereo audio zones, 16 DigitalMedia™video zones, 34 climate zones, 91 motorized shades, 392 lighting loads, 124 security zones, and 39 CCTV cameras. All of the systems are controlled from Crestron handheld remotes and in-wall touch screens throughout the home, as well as from the homeowner’s iPad® and iPhone®. By the client’s request, many advanced features are accessible from multiple interfaces, including the ability to enable or disable occupancy sensors throughout the house. For the automatic lighting pathways and advanced control options, Sound Specialists created an easy to use iPad GUI. This simple, yet high-tech GUI displays zone information and simple device controls on an intuitive floor plan. Sound Specialists even created different user modes for the husband and wife to suit their different needs.
“The Crestron Integration Awards honor the year’s most spectacular and innovative system designs,” said Crestron Public Relations Manager, Joyce Essig. “Sound Specialists amazed us with their ability to push the envelope and create new and unique applications of our Integrated by Design™ residential solutions in their award-winning Chicago home project. We congratulate them on this award.”
